We dedicate October to women with metastatic breast cancer

3

It's October. We at APOZ dedicate it to women with metastatic breast cancer. If you are wondering what exactly metastatic means, I will answer immediately: alive…, outwitted the barriers and occupied territory in other organs of the woman's body, insatiable…

The good news is, that medicine, our doctors, they have more and more opportunities to keep it under control, and women with breast cancer – to lead a normal and quality life.

But is it enough to limit ourselves to the topic of treatment? If you ask me, definitely not enough! These wonderful women need UNDERSTANDING and a supportive social environment. Те биха споделили своите нужди, if society gives them the opportunity, if you just give them the floor, instead of imposing on them our ideas of what they need.

We at APOZ know, that apart from UNDERSTANDING, these women need RELIEF, in the sense of less effort. For everything!

They return ready to work and despair, when they are greeted with clichés, instead of offering them flexible working hours. They need more time for themselves - to see their doctor, for research and controls or just to breathe fresh air. They have specific needs, caused by continuous treatment, which, although increasingly successful, има своите странични ефекти. Те ще преодолеят стотиците километри, to receive treatment, as the rules now force them, but do we realize the pain, which they experience along the way? For fear of breaking a bone due to increased risk and bone metastases? For fatigue, which often catches up with them? For increased anxiety and fear of the unknown? For the misunderstanding of others?

Not, there is no way to realize everything, which they experience, if we don't let them talk.

That is why we are dedicating this October to women with metastatic breast cancer! За да ги окуражим да споделят техните нужди, needs, expectations, dreams, small and large victories over the disease. To be close, if they need help. Because that's how we understand support!
